Senator Michael Bennet seeks a Legislative Correspondent to cover a broad portfolio including foreign affairs, trade, defense, veterans as well as transportation, infrastructure and postal issues. Responsibilities include responding to constituent mail; assisting Senior Legislative team members; researching policy issues; drafting memos; and working with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have background in some or all of these issue areas and possesses excellent writing, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet tight deadlines in a rigorous environment. Attention to detail is critical. Knowledge of the legislative process, prior Hill experience, and Western ties are a plus.
